What are the options?

Our Navigational Phase  and Further Assessment options are packages.

We offer everything else at an hourly rate of $200 (GST inclusive). This gives you flexibility to decides what best suits your family and situation.

Support for the Young Person

o  Post-assessment sessions - to make sense of results in 'child speak'.
o  Therapeutic sessions - to address specific socioemotional needs.
o  Learner profiles - created with the young person to share information with teachers in their own voice.
o  Strategy generation sessions - helping the young person build their toolkit of strategies for coping and learning.
o  Check-in sessions - helping the young person adapt their strategies, further down the track, as they grow and change.

Support for the Grown Ups

o  Parenting strategies - to help you fit your parenting approaches to your child's developmental needs.
o  Contact with the school - getting in touch with your child's classroom teacher, SENCO or LSC to give assessment feedback and think about the way ahead.
o  Planning meetings - contribution towards Individual Education Plans or Wraparound Plans.
o  Referrals onwards - for extra supports that might help you to help your child.

Support for Professionals

o  School-wide programmes - we can recommend and help set up programmes to address needs seen across a school.
o  Problem solving with teachers - working together to brainstorm strategies that you can trial in the classroom.
o  Supervision + case consultation - for ppsychologists or other professionals who are working with learning support and wellbeing needs.

What else do we do at Wonder?

In-School Psychologist Support

School psychology is an established profession internationally, but not in Aotearoa New Zealand.

At Wonder, we work with a number of different schools on a weekly or semi-regular basis. Through this arrangement, the schools know that they have psychologist time set aside, which can be used in a flexible manner based on the presenting in their school.

This type of practice is charged at a rate of $500 per half day or $750 for a full day

Professional Learning

We can also provide professional learning workshops for teams in schools or other agencies.

The topic is your choice - it can be anything spanning the three domains of need that we specialise in at Wonder Psychology:
